Description This kit will only fit the Series 1 RX-8 2003-2008 due to the changes on the later R3 this kit will not fit. This kit is fully assembled and is ready for installation in your RX-8! This Racing Beat Kit includes ALL required mounting hardware and sensor fitting adaptors needed to quickly install this kit. No messy wiring harnesses or fussy mounting brackets that are common with most “do-it-yourself” kits, the Racing Beat Gauge Panel Kit is intended for the enthusiast that would rather spend more time behind the steering wheel, than under it lying on his back with a flashlight! Most importantly, we include a fully detailed and illustrated, step-by-step installations that will guide you through the entire installation process. The high-gloss black gauge panel has been fitted with three precision AutoMeter Sport-Comp gauges – water temperature (50°C – 115°C), oil temperature(60°C – 140°C), and oil pressure (0-200 PSI). Selected for their outstanding performance and interior-matching appearance, these high quality AutoMeter gauges look great during the daytime, and back-lit illuminated “red” at night – just like the stock gauges on the RX-8! The Racing Beat Gauge Panel Kit comes complete and pre-assembled for quick installation, and includes provisions for connection to the instrument panel lighting. The panel unit is mounted in place of the stock ash tray/lighter assembly and routing of the sensor lines is surprisingly easy! To facilitate the assembly process, each kit includes the Racing Beat Oil Pressure and Temperature Adaptor and the Water Temperature Adaptor. Note: Although it is possible that this unit will mount in the auto transmission equipped RX-8, the installation instructions were written for the installation of the sensor lines through an opening near the manual shift arm.
