These caps are around the highest pressure caps we would recommend for most vehicles, and are a great alternative to replacing your stock cap with a new OEM unit. Failing radiator caps are often overlooked as a source of cooling systems overheating and without the proper test equipment it is difficult to determine at just what bypass pressure your cap is running. By increasing the radiator cap pressure you will be able to run the engine coolant hotter without uncontrollably boiling your coolant. Please note that you will still be limited to the max recommended coolant temperature your engine will handle before engine damage like warped irons and cooked coolant seals occur. However as long at your sensible then high pressure caps can be a great benefit.
