Description This sprocket allows you disengage the drive to the problematic balance shafts. There’s several gains to be had in doing this modification. You remove a common failure point, the sprocket is known to fail. When it does you loose drive to the oil pump, which can result in catastrophic engine damage. You reduce the rotational mass that the engine has to drive, this results in a quicker revving engine and more HP. No chance of the balance shafts seizing then taking your timing belt or other components with it. Increased oil pressure to the rest of the engine, if the effort to remove the shafts and plug the oil galleries is taken. Sprocket is manufactured from EN24 steel to the highest accuracy. It contains a premium branded bearing suitably rated to in excess of 3 times the relative speed required and is a C3 bearing (additional clearance) due the heat of the environment its housed in.
