Description   STEEL Crusader Mug MK I This is a superb bit of field kit!  The mug is designed to fit the 58 Pattern NATO water bottle as part of the Crusader Cooking System but is a useful mug in its own right.   Constructed from high grade stainless steel, it can be placed over direct heat such as a hexi burner, camping stove or open fire to warm the contents without the need to use separate mess tins, pots or kettles.   Being stainless steel means that it is more durable and also fire-resistant, making it suitable for heating drinks or cooking food directly over campfires. The metal handle on the rear of the mug is hinged to allow it to fold back around the mug itself, helping to reduce the pack size. To reduce boiling times, a new lid has been introduced by BCB.
