The leaves and roots can be added to salads, sauces, meat dishes, etc. It has aromatic foliage with a rich celery-like flavour. The roots are also a good antiseptic. Stores well if dried. Sowing: In autumn or early spring scatter the seeds on the surface of seed trays and cover with a thin layer of soil or perlite. Keep moist and at a temperature of 15-20 C and the seedlings should appear within 7 to 10 days. Transplant once the seedlings are large enough to handle.
